My baby turned 8. I have a tendency to ponder where all the time has gone, rememebering that not too long ago she was a little girl. I look on in amazement though, how she is growing and maturing. Her grasp of sarcasm is quite impressive and she has an energy that is infectious. I am proud of her every day! Happy Birthday Little Girl!

I have wanted to take a picture of this dock since I got here... it was a chilly, quiet, Tuesday morning. I have to tell you there is an "Beware of Alligator" sign just before the dock... better believe I did a thorough check before heading through the grass and onto the dock.

I met up with a lady from my photo group the other day and we had a great time! What a wonderful woman! I had raided my children's toy box for some miniature animals and off to the park we went. You are never too old to play with toys!

The Battleship -USS North Carolina...Did You Know

We boarded the USS North Carolina and spent a good part of two hours touring the ship from bottom to top. I say bottom first because once my kids knew they could go down into the ship we took the first set of stairs (very narrow and very steep) we saw.

Now, we had seen the ship on an episode of Ghost Hunters and so we were excited and a little nervous to see if we could conjure up any spirits. Unfortunately we came up empty handed in that department but learned a lot about the ship and the men who served on it during WWII.

Did you Know:

North Carolina joined the long island-hopping campaign against the Japanese by assisting in the landing of Marines on Guadalcanal and Tulagi 7 August 1942, beginning the Guadalcanal campaign.

As the first newly designed American battleship constructed in 20 years, North Carolina was built using the latest in shipbuilding technology.

The North Carolina had so much fire power, other Allied ships thought it was actually on fire. (It seemed every inch of the deck had fire power)

North Carolina took a torpedo portside just forward of her number 1 turret, 20 ft (6.1 m) below her waterline making a hole 32 ft by 18 ft, and killing five of her men.

Afterwards, we spent the remainder of the day walking around downtown Wilmington.... a pretty view from the stern of the North Carolina.

Florida Wildlife

My father had a plan... he was going to take us to see some alligators in their natural habitat today. There were some concerned faces and a little nervous tension but we were all up for a new adventure.

It was a beautiful sunny February day...

Grandson - "What's the name of that black bird with the red on its wing?"

Grandfather - "Um, that's a Red Wing Blackbird."

Grandson - "Makes sense."

Our first alligator sighting... a big boy!

Despite the attempt at camouflage we spotted this guy right away.

Our narrow path with gators on both sides.

There was much more to see than just alligators... birds, turtles, squirrels, and even this little guy.

This was the biggest gator of the day. He looked very well fed.. which was good for us.

1.5 hours and 3 miles later we had seen more than our fair share of Florida wildlife... off to talk about the hike over some gator tail and sweet tea.

Never Enough Coffee

I recently joined a local photography group and I'm very excited! They are a really nice group of people... and they have the same interest I do. My first challenge is photographing a "hot beverage", so of course, I immediately think of coffee... because well, yes I love coffee. It is my favorite hot beverage in which I can drink any time, day or night... and sometimes both.

What I have quickly come to realize is that "food" photography is not as easy as it may seem. Out of 65 shots these were the only ones I kinda sorta liked.

I am a candid, people, animal kind of photographer so this is really going to be a challenge for me. Good thing I like challenges!

I don't know about you but I'm craving a cup of coffee!

When I Was Young....

When I was a child I played in a lot of mud puddles.

I use to pretend I was a witch and the puddle was my cauldron.

I would hunt for secret ingredients to go into my "special potion",

throw them in and stir with a big stick. The uglier the potion, the more potent it was.

My children asked me what kind of electronics I had when I was a kid. I told them I didn't have any, except for maybe an Atari, but I learned early on that video games were not my thing. I spend hours outside, playing in mud puddles, riding my bike, exploring the woods, and using my imagination.

On windy days I would take my umbrella outside and try to fly like Mary Poppins.

In the woods, I would pretend I was an explorer, charting new territory.

Growing up in Florida, I spent many days swimming in the pool and pretending I was a deep sea diver or a whale trainer (did I mention I didn't live far from Sea World)

I watched worms and frogs and lizards.

I built sand castles and collected sea shells.

I played TV tag and freeze tag and bike tag.

I hoola -hooped, kicked the soccer ball, played tennis on the driveway...

My children felt a sorry for me because I grew up without computers and without XBox until I started telling them about all the things I use to do and all the adventures I use to have. I noticed, since our talk, they have been spending a lot more time outside. :)

A Year In Review

I've learned a lot this year....

I've learned that life is not fair, and that bad things do happen to good people....

I've learned that the harder path, the path less traveled, is worth the struggle....

I've learned that laughter is truly the best medicine....

I've learned that life is a gift that gives us new and wonderful things every day, we just have to keep our eyes open....

I'm a very lucky person (although I've always known that)...

I've learned that the older I get the more I like things simple...

I've learned that I am never alone no matter how lonely I may feel....

I've learned that a good night sleep can give you a new perspective...

I've learned that the wrinkles will keep coming and I just need to embrace it, (but I don't have to like it)...

I've learned that although planning for the future is great, I am going to take it one step at a time because I don't want to miss anything.

A Day At The Dog Park

I don't usually take pictures of food but these were just too pretty.

My husband introduced us to Mochi after a trip to Japan.

Mochi (Japanese: 餅) is a Japanese rice cake made of glutinous rice pounded into paste and molded into shape.

These were brought back from Korea and are little delicious works of art...

Almost too pretty to eat... almost.

It's Gift Wrapping Time

In my house I am not the present wrapper. I chose to employ my little elves to do such dirty work... and to be completely honest they do a much better job than I do. It is a long running joke in my house that everyone can pick out the presents I have attempted to wrap... and not because they have beautifully squared edges....

My elves whistle along with Christmas Carols... our favorites are the oldies... Burl Ives, Bing Crosby, Johnny Mathis....

They get into their work and take it very seriously...

I am told cutting the paper just right is the key to a good wrapping.... too bad I'm not very good with scissors...

Even the dog did her part and cleaned feet as the elves worked.

I love this week every year. The weather is chilly, the air is crisp, the Marine Corp celebrates it's birthday, we honor our veterans, and we get an extra day or two to spend together as a family.

We ventured to the Aquarium, one of my favorite places.

A little fact... or two... about me - I was a scuba diver... and when I was little I wanted to be a marine biologist or work at Sea World.

That didn't happen but I will never miss a chance to visit an aquarium, take a boat ride, or learn something new about our ocean's creatures....

Looks like I'm not the only one!

We also got to meet some of of the local critters...

Gave me the goose bumps!

I told my children...

I had such a great time on my first photo shoot in North Carolina. I couldn't have asked for a nicer family! When I take pictures of children I'm always thinking of new ways to make them smile. It didn't take long for them to get comfortable in front of the camera and we definitely got some great shots... and some funny ones too!

The Sunshine State did not live up to it's name this weekend. But, for all of us use to the afternoon rain, we know the show must go on. I sat, curled under an umbrella, camera in hand. Thank you to my sister for shielding me and my equipment so I could fire off some shots. And I'm sorry for all the people who were walking behind me when they finally called the game... I know my shorts were completely soaked through and probably see-through as well.

Fun With Pictures

I didn't have such good luck with my new camera this weekend. Out of 100 pictures most of them were blurry. User error no doubt... time to pull out the manual again and figure out what the heck I did wrong.

It's fun to take a picture and see what colors/techniques brings out the mood of the picture. Maybe you can tell me which one you like best while I go read my camera manual.... again. :)

I have a million boxes to unpack. There are lots of things I can not find and many more scattered all over the house. I can't find my hair dryer so needless to say I have had a run of bad hair days. I almost remorgaged the house (if I owned one) to fill my pantry and refrigorator. And then I had to be very creative to fit it all in. And... I still forgot stuff. So anyway, I thought I needed some cheering up. Flowers always do the job and if you are having a Monday like mine... I present these flowers to you with the good news that Tuesday is right around the corner.

An Update On The Big Project

They are now Guardian Angels for dogs needing surgery or special attention.

Big Plans... Before The Fine Print

I received an email about this GREAT OPPORTUNITY to submit a photo essay. The winner would received BIG prizes. Of course, my first questions was, "How much is this going to cost me?" I searched for the answer... and searched some more, but couldn't find the "fine print". So I went ahead and started planning my essay. And as I planned and shot I got more and more excited.

So I went on again today and started the process of signing in and low and behold, there it was, clear as day! In bold print... the cost of entering this GREAT OPPORTUNITY.... $100.

Well, that stopped me dead in my tracks. So I decided to go ahead and share them with you... for free.

Another Goodbye... But No Pictures

My blogs are getting so mushy! Sorry about that, but I guess it's just a mushy time for me. Today marked another last... Today I had to say goodbye to my preschoolers, their parents, and the teachers.

You would be so proud of me... I didn't cry. That's not to say, when things slow down I won't crumble into a million pieces, but I kept it together today (by a very thin string, but it still counts!)

I was showered with so many little hugs today! It is the best feeling in the world to know that even though I was sometimes frustrated, and sometimes made them work when they wanted to play, and sometimes had to sit them in time-out for not listening they all came up and hugged me.

And the parents... one parent in particular, as I was hugging her son, mouthed the words, "Thank you so much". The sincerity in her eyes made me feel like I had made a difference.

I wish I could share some pictures of them with you, but I can't. They are full of energy and imagination. They are all strong and sometimes strong - willed and I love that about them.

Thank you for three wonderful years of laughs and tears and challenges and triumphs! I think I may have learned as much from them as they learned from me :)

Where Does The Time Go?

I was beginning to think I wasn't going to be a mom, and then he came along.

He was so strong and alert.

He made everyone around him smile.

Before he even turned 1 he had created his own language. No one knew what he was saying... but he sure did.

He can dance, although only a select few get the opportunity to see.

When he laughs, you can't help but laugh along with him.

Sometimes we can just look at each other and know what the other is thinking.

There are moments when I wish time would freeze and he would stay little forever, but then I think of all the things I would miss watching him grow into a young man!

Saying Goodbye

In the next month and a half we will be saying goodbye. For as much practice as I've had in this department you would think I would be better at this... but I'm not.

Tonight will mark the last time my daughter will dance for RDSS.

She began as an unfocused twirler who spent more time playing with her tutu than learning the dance routine. Throughout the past four years she has grown into a graceful talented dancer who can be caught practicing in the middle of malls, grocery stores, and movie theaters.

More importantly, she has made some wonderful friends who come running with excitement whenever she walks into the studio. They make her smile and that makes me smile!

Thank you RDSS for making us a part of your family. We will miss you!

The Baby Birds Have Left The Nest

   I tell her because it's time for them to fly off and see the world.

We took our annual trip to Greenfield Village this weekend, during their Civil War Reenactment. As the daughter of a history buff I love being transported back to the past.

I DID IT... And Other Random Thoughts

I don't exactly know how...

After days of fooling, fiddling, typing, connecting, re-connecting, I was finally able to hook up my wireless router... which means I am out of the dungeon and sitting comfortably on my couch with full access to the internet. Life is good!

So, my kids were talking about nicknames today. I am the queen of nicknames.. I love to give them. I have many for my children. They asked me today if I had any.

Have you guessed yet?

My nicknames have always centered around this animal and our likeness in the cheek area, usually after the chipmunk has filled it's cheeks with food. My kids got a kick out of that!

My daughter had her last dance competition today.

The "lasts" have begun as we get ready for the move.

Way to go little girl! You were amazing and I am so proud of you!

Tomorrow is my son's LAST (there's that word again) karate tournament.

My new favorite (GREEN) cup! It goes everywhere with me. I am making more of an effort to reduce, reuse, recycle. A few weeks ago my daughter attended a birthday party. She insisted we wrap her friend's present in newspaper because it's a good way to recycle. Problem was, it wasn't a very uplifting news day, so she ended up with the want ads.

They've Arrived

The babies have arrived!

I was jumping up to take a little peek at the robin eggs today (I didn't want to get the ladder out... I must have looked a little crazy to my neighbors) and the eggs were gone. In their place were four very ugly, but extremely adorable baby birds.

Mother Robin was still not very excited at me peeking in to take a look at her new brood, but she didn't attack either. She stayed a small distance away to make sure I behaved.

I sat for a while and watched her dig up this worm....

And when she was absolutely sure I wasn't going to move from my spot on the porch, she fed her little babies their dinner.

And nestled them in for a nice peaceful sleep.

Spring Has Nested In My Tree

I notices a long piece of plastic hanging from my tree. I was about to tug it out when I looked up and realized it was attached to a robin's nest.

Four bright blue beautiful eggs... and one mother robin just over my shoulder warning me not to get too close. (that is why the pictures are blurry.. I didn't want to be poking around too long)

As I tucked them safely back behind the branches I promised to keep an extra eye out. I hope to hear the sounds of baby birds chirping soon!

A Day At The Zoo

The bears were some of the only animals out first thing this morning, braving the chilly air and drizzle.

We stalked the Rhinos... the only animal we had to see today so that we could get pictures for my son's report. They eventually came out to play. I was ready to bribe someone to get me in the back to take pictures if I had to!

The weather has been awesome! It was so nice to be outside without a jacket and without my teeth chattering.

Karen and I decided we don't need lawn mowers... we can just get a horse! It was amazing how much Rollie ate in such a short period of time... and think of all the gas we'd save!

A gift to Twila for keeping her cool when all around her had lost theirs. :)

Happy Mother's Day... From the Basement

I can not get my wireless router to work... I have tried everything, except calling the company, because, well, they charge by the minute. So I now have my laptop in the basement.. or the dungeon, as I like to call it. I would much rather be typing from the back patio....in the sunshine... overlooking my pretty tulips.

I have to tell you I felt very loved this morning. At 6:45am I heard rustling in the kitchen. At 7:15 there were footsteps ascending the staircase and then a light tap on my shoulder.

"Mom, can you open the jelly jar," came in a whisper. I obliged.

At 7:20 footsteps again and in not such a whisper, "Happy Mother's Day!"

My daughter took my hand and guided me downstairs. She had made me a Mother's Day feast! Toast with butter, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, fruit salad, and donuts. On my plate was a pretty gold necklace (purchased and shipped by her dad although it was her idea) and flowers from our front yard. My son (opting not to get up a 6:45am - I can't really blame him) lumbered downstairs with a smile and a hug and took credit for telling his sister what button to press on the coffee pot! :) He gave me a Barnes and Noble Gift Card. Both had also made me cute Mother's Day crafts from school.

I am a lucky Mom indeed!

My son and I had some time today, just the two of us. We visited one of my favorite places, the farm. With my son as my assistant we got lots of nose pictures... and we laughed all afternoon!

My son coached the cow and I shot the picture. This guy was the only one who cooperated, though he showered us with hay every time he lifted his head.

This little mama was taking care of her babies but decided she needed some well deserved "me" time so came right over to us for a back rub.

And these two... our favorites for sure. If my son could have smuggled one of these guys out of there he would have. Scary thing is I probably would have let him. What's one more little pig in the pen.

The windows are open! Spring is here!

AFTER....and he volunteered for this.

I asked my daughter's riding teacher about the attire for her upcoming horse show.

ME: - "Where can I find stirrups?"

TEACHER: - "Stirrups?"

ME: "Yeah, those things that look like boots and go over their pants."

TEACHER - "You mean chaps?"

ME: "Yeah chaps... not stirrups... that's for dance..."

Moral - too many activities with too many costume parts. May consider switching to swim team or track and field... a lot less to keep up with.

It is time for sleep...

My children have walled themselves off in the corner with every couch pillow I have, plus two blankets. They are making a surprise for me for Easter. After quite a bit of whispered discussion my son announces that PLAN A will not work. They will have to go with PLAN B. My sweet daughter, looking rather confused says, "I didn't even know we had a plan B."

We had a great day full of egg hunts and sun shine! We got to watch eggs being dropped from a helicopter which was pretty cool.

I hope all my family and friends have a wonderful Easter!

This picture makes me smile. Because I loved it so much I printed it and framed it and my daughter and I drove out to the barn and gave the picture to the dog's owner. She loved it! And every time she looked at it, it made her smile too.

Today is a very special day... six years ago today ~~Baby~~ Au-um was born. The last time she came to visit she informed me she wasn't a baby anymore and didn't particularly like her nickname. I told her I would compromise and call her just Au-um... I'm not sure if she liked that any better. Though she will always be Baby Au-um to me she is growing into a beautiful girl!

Hats off to my wonderful friend who pulled off some of the greatest April Fools jokes on her children today.

I was feeling a little bad because I hadn't planned any jokes, but then I realized I am about to pull off an awesome surprise... which counts right?

In about two hours my children and I will be heading to the airport to pick up "a friend of ours"... little do they know their dad will be waiting there at the curb for them. Can't wait to see their faces!

P.S. Congratulations to my nephew who is graduating with his black belt tonight. We are so proud of you TY!

Tomorrow is my daughter's first dance competition of the year. We have just finished fitting, stretching, pulling, applying, pinning, and spraying everything. It all fits!

As I am checking, rechecking, packing, repacking, planning and being generally a nervous wreck, my daughter doesn't have a care in the world. She's sitting on the couch chomping on a plum. I love how she is not the least bit nervous. I, on the other hand, have enough butterflies for the both of us.

Shhhhh, don't tell - I should be doing laundry instead of blogging.

I should be cleaning the bathrooms

I should be... well, doing a lot of others things, but this is much more fun!

My daughter decided that complaining about the snow wasn't helping so she decided to embrace it instead.

I am sad to say that Daisy passed away. She was a sweet dog and lived a long and loved life. We will miss her!

Peanut (yes, the same puppy from an older post) has now taken up the reins as "The Barn Dog". The other day she ran in from playing in the snow and jumped up onto my son's lap, spraying mud and snow all over him. I had a good laugh.... my son was not as amused.

My nemesis.... ICE

Okay, I'm going to say it... I haven't wanted to in the almost four years I've lived here because I was afraid I would jinx myself, but I think it's time. I have made it through three winters without ever slipping and falling on ice. You don't understand, I am a KLUTZ! A big one! And this is a HUGE feat for me.

I'm hesitant to hit the send button on this one since winter is not quite over... I'm going to go for it - keep your fingers crossed!

Soon this will be me, flying south.... save me a nice palm tree and some sunshine... oh, and one of those umbrella drinks!

Ahhhhh, More Snow...

More snow pictures.... because yes, there is more snow. Last week it had all but melted, just to come back in full force. I had to rescue Lilly this morning because she sunk down so low in the snow she couldn't get out.

It amazed me how children have no temperature gauge. If they are having fun they can stay outside all day-rain, shine, heat or snow. I, on the other hand, swore frostbite was setting in after about five minutes in the elements.

Also, and I had no idea this even existed, little spiky things that go over your shoes so that you can walk on ice. You learn something new everyday!

With my husband indisposed my son felt that it was his job to step up, so with the help of my daughter they devised a plan.

At 7a.m. my alarm went off and to my surprise my children were already awake and dressed for the day. They met me downstairs with boxes of chocolate and Lenny, (my daughter also taped $.37 to my box of chocolates... from her piggy bank).

I wish I could figure it out...

Huh..... that's a sigh because I was reminded today how very little I know about my computer...

It's a MAC... love it... but sometimes I just don't get it.

I found myself at the Apple store today to buy a new power cord for my phone. In chatting with one of the salesmen... Jeremy.... we got into a great discussion about photo software... conversation meaning I asked a million questions, half of which I know were ridiculous, and he was extremely patient and answered every one of them. Thank you Jeremy. Anyway, he told me about a website where I could download a free trial to check it out before I purchased it. Well, I was very excited so left Jeremy and went home to find the website... which I found and downloaded the free trial.... and then I got that sign- the circle with the dash through it and a nasty little pop-up that said I couldn't open the download... I didn't have what it needed....but here's the kicker... It didn't tell me WHAT I needed.

HUhhhhhhh.......

So, NEW PLAN - take my entire computer to the Apple Store and have them figure it out for me...

It's Only A Matter Of Time

The first time my husband was gone ....

Month one -little girl (1 yr old) rips off four fingernails.

Month Two - the stomach flu rocks house. Mom and son are taking turns in the bathroom.... cereal for dinner because that's the only thing little man can reach because mom can't get out of bed.

Month Three - Mom runs over hose with ride- on lawn mower - gets hose stuck in blade and disables mower.

Month Four- both cars down... one has a dead battery, the other one is flooded on the inside ( thank you Jiffy Lube)

Month Five- Hurricane Ophelia

Month Six - house alarm that was never activated is beeping every twenty seconds.... little ones are both crying because it's so loud, mom gets so frustrated she punches the key pad... unfortunately the beeping continues...

Month Seven- Mom runs on freshly mopped floor to answer doorbell.... falls flat on back and can't move for fifteen minutes... trying to calm children, catch breath, and making sure no bones are broken.

Month Eight - four days until husband returns from Iraq... family goes down again with the stomach flu. Mom hit the hardest.... loses 8 lbs in four days. Receives call that plane out of Kuwait is broken and husband is delayed one day. The only wife in the unit excited to hear this news.. one extra day to stop vomiting...

This time husband is gone....

Day Two - Nothing to report yet..... mmmmm, the calm before the storm?

Random Thoughts

* Celebration is in order - the croup has finally left my house!

* I had a wonderful date with my husband last night. We talked without interruption, over sushi and tea. Perfect!

* I would like to know how I ended up with two dogs that snore.

* Lunch with my girlfriend... one of my favorite things to do... great food, great conversation, and a lot of laughing. Just what the doctor ordered!

* I love getting mail! Let me re-phrase.. I love getting mail that is not bills or junk. This is one of a few gifts I have received this week from my BFF. The mug makes the coffee!

* I am on a mission today to find Ninjago... which I know I have spelled incorrectly. More legos... just what my floor (and vacuum cleaner) needs!

* I am happy to report that Daisy (one of the barn dogs) is on the mend after months of suffering from a mysterious illness. She is looking like a spry young chicken...dog.

* And can you believe it's snowing again.... It looks more like the blizzard than the blizzard did...

It's all anyone has been talking about for the past few days... Blizzardpalooza!

7 p.m. on the dot - we all look out the window to see if it had begun, and low and behold the snow is falling, well, more like whipping down from the sky.

Now the question is, will there be a snow day tomorrow?

My children are a little wary of the cold and snow.... My little girl asked if spring could come tomorrow.

I told her...

Think crashing waves....

think soft sandy beaches.....

think clear blue sky....

They are all right around the corner, right?

Besides, I tell her, snow day = sleeping in, staying in our pajamas, playing games, watching movies, and just hanging out. Blizzards aren't all bad.

I currently have over 12,000 pictures in my computer. I love to take pictures, obviously, but I tend to keep all of them... even the not so good ones. So, I decided to start cleaning out my pictures ( I should be cleaning the basement or my closest but this is much more fun). Here are some of my favorites in black and white.

On a total side note, my daughter started jumping at horseback riding lessons and can I tell you, my heart stopped the minute her horse left the ground. She, on the other hand, was all smiles, even when she almost fell off. Amazing!!!!!

Also very happy to hear Jimmy Buffet will survive his fall. Fins Up!

Three weeks ago I took my son to the pool. We had made a deal after he admitted to me that he was embarrassed because he couldn't swim. He didn't like going underwater and tended to tense up the minute his hands left the wall so that he immediately began sinking. I told him that I would teach him to swim if he promised to listen and do exactly what I said. Three weeks ago my son was almost in tears because I made him keep his promise when he didn't want to. I made him bob up and down, made him jump in over and over, made him swim with his face in the water from one end of the pool to the other.

It's been three weeks..... and a handful of trips to the pool and this is how far he's come!

Great job little man!

Keep Climbing

I was thinking about this picture today.... strange, I know. I was thinking... this is a perfect picture for my life at the moment. In a few months I will be where she is.. at the bottom of the hill, starting from scratch,- for me that means meeting new people, moving into a new home, unpacking boxes I have packed and unpacked a million times.... I am heading back to the bottom of the hill.

And I tell you what, I am, for the most part, a positive, cup half full kind of person, but sometimes the hill looks immense from the bottom just like this hill looked to the little girl. But, in the end it didn't stop her from putting one foot in front of the other. One foot in front of the other... one step at a time and eventually I will be at the top of the hill again. It just takes time.....

Late Night Thoughts

The house is quiet and I am still awake, soaking in the silence....

I had a great visit with my parents, who braved the cold weather of the northern midwest to celebrate Christmas with us. As I watched my children hug and kiss them goodnight I realized how lucky I am to have them in my life.

Today was Lilly's birthday... we rescued her from the SPCA one year ago today. In honor of her bday we paid a visit to the local dog bakery and bought her a special treat. Someone, and I'm not naming any names, may have also slipped her a rib bone from dinner.

The only thing I am definitely going to do tomorrow is take a nap!

My Christmas tree branches are beginning to sag under the weight of the ornaments. Time to take it down.

We played charades tonight and by luck of the draw my mother picked "Rump Roast" and "Constipation"- she was a good sport and acted out both.

I am anxiously awaiting the new shipment of Nooks... apparently the weather in NJ is holding up the delivery.... pesky snow!

A very good friend made me a beautiful plate of cookies that are now, at 11pm, calling my name relentlessly..... and my thought is, New Years Resolutions don't actually start until the New Year, right?
I have time....

I just found a Nerf bullet stuck to my sock....

My goal in the next week is to get some new pictures for my blog. Stay tuned sleep tight, and keep warm!
